Our concept of time, as thought of as a linear passage of events is far from the truth, in fact there is no truth to time at all. Everything exists in only our present moment. I know this statement seems odd to you after reading it since this is a paranormal magazine with articles focused on the paranormal. What does the existence of time have to do with spiritual affairs? Well, let’s discuss this.
The explanation of time cannot be explained in terms of science alone, it cannot be explained in terms of the mind because the mind by its own nature functions on the basis that reality consists of things, things that can be broken down into individual bits of information and explained in a linear mechanical fashion.
To fully understand how flawed our mindset is you must first accept that this is a relative world in which we live and on the conscious level we interact with other human beings, spirits, demons, etc.; in a wider linear fashion. This is currently the nature of the mind to see only a one dimensional flat linear existence, but we must go beyond the mind of ourselves to access any answers.
Let’s focus on the now and on you right at this moment so that we can better understand where I am going with this. Whether you’re sitting or standing and reading this article; you are focused on the three dimensional world. There’s you and others, objects around you and the concept that all of this is real. This is your world. But look deeper and you’ll see that all of those things are made up of energy.
Once you have this concept, you then would have to realize that you are living in the now. All of existence is contained within the “now.” The future and the past are not “places” that physically exist. The future is a prediction, and the past is a memory, nothing more.
All the energy that makes you a person and all the energy that creates all the objects in your world are shared by other energies that we are commonly not aware of. It’s the energy of those that have passed on, but are still here with us. Think of it as like sandwiches in which there are now layers of food in order to make a meal. The bread is the energies that make up different levels of energy that we are not aware of. The contents of the sandwich is the now we live in.
I can guarantee that wherever you are right now, and wherever you travel today there will be other energies around you at all times. Those people who have lived in the flesh and have transcended to another form of energy. It’s as if the concept of linear time we have established is layered upon itself in this present time for you. There are virtually layers upon layers of energies that have at one point stood and interacted on the very spot you sit or stand on now. And those energies are still present, in the now.
We seem to be absorbed by time and by linear analysis of everything in our universe and by these means of analysis we are missing a whole infinity of possibilities.
To better understand this, always remember that you are energy, the dense matter of your body is energy and you do not choose to remember what you are beyond matter. If you had more awareness that you are energy, you would understand very easily that for energy, time has not reality.
Something to keep in mind when investigating spirits is that we are not looking for beings that have passed on and are trying to communicate to some ethereal place. What we are trying to do is tune into that energy that is around us all the time in order to reach some form of communication.
All the technical gadgets that we use in our investigations may be for nothing in some sense. Often times it is our very own mind that stops us from achieving communication with those who have transcended into a different form of energy. There is no real basis to time existing, only layers upon layers of energy that surrounds you in every moment of your now.
