Doing a hobby like the paranormal or any hobby really causes choices to be made. For example I work 3rd shift, the graveyard shift, so for me at times means having to change when I sleep so I can to talk to potential clients or setup things for my expo, private life, etc. I don’t complain it is what I love and a sacrifice I make. While others may use vacation time, but my point is made.
I’ve also noticed a trend in the paranormal community since I started seriously in 2007 – it may have existed before. I honestly do not know, but it consists of the causal and the serious hunters/investigators, which of course can cause some discord to say the least. When you form or are part of a team many things are important like team work, accountability, honesty, communication, respect, etc. I know when it comes to my team I can be demanding, but I’m no slave driver, yes I have my moments of annoyance at people as any driven individual will. I have and will apologize when needed as I’m thankful that I have a great core team – I really do.
Why am I telling you the reader all this? Well lets be honest here dealing with paranormal research/investigation/hunting requires dealing with all types of people. It comes with the territory. Sometimes those interactions are amazing and sometimes not so much. I rarely if ever use real names in posts, because it does stir the pot and I prefer to not lick the spoon! Hmm, kinda sounds like a paying job… which this isnt sadly. So why am I still here? Simply because I love the unknown and am willing to take what comes with it because of that, some people can’t do that, they will always find reasons why they can’t. So while I’m on my journey – I hope you find a reason you can and meet me somewhere down the road….
P.S.
At the end of the day do what you love…
